Effective [DATE]. These are the terms between you and [ENTITY], [ADDRESS], United Kingdom ("we"), for By Your Leave ("the service").

1. The service, and its beta

By Your Leave holds facts you choose to keep, lets AI agents you connect ask to read them or to act on your behalf, carries out what you approve, and records what it did. It is in beta: things may change, break or be withdrawn, and we may limit who can sign up.

2. What you approve is yours

The service does only what you allow, by answering an ask on your phone or by setting a policy that lets a class of ask proceed without you. You are responsible for the policies you set and the asks you approve, including what you let an agent read and whom you let it write to. Read each ask; the sentence you approve is what the vault enforces.

3. Agents and other services are not ours

The agents you connect, and the services they reach through your vault (your calendar, websites you sign into, merchants you pay), belong to others. We are not responsible for what an agent decides to ask for, for what it does with facts you let it read, or for those services' availability or terms. Our part is the door: enforcing your policies and keeping the record.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use the service to disclose someone else's personal data without a lawful basis, to evade a site's or a service's terms through the signed-in browser, to send mail that is unlawful or unsolicited at scale, or to probe or load-test the service. We may suspend an account that does.

5. Fees and payments

The service is free during the beta. Payments through the vault are in test mode during the beta: no real money moves. When that changes, this section will say so before it does, and fees, if any, will be shown in the app before you agree to them.

6. Your data

What we hold and why is in the privacy page. You can export or delete your vault at any time from the app.

7. Suspension and ending

You can stop at any time by deleting your vault. We can suspend or end an account for breach of these terms, or end the service as a whole with 30 days' notice, during which export stays available.

8. No warranties, limited liability

The service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from an agent's actions within what you approved. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

9. Law and changes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. We may update these terms; the date at the top changes, and a material change is announced in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that date is acceptance.
